First ever tyres with FSC®-certified forest-based materials
After producing the first ever tyres¹ with FSC®-certified natural rubber in 2021, we are implementing the FSC® strategy on an industrial scale so that by 2026, all natural rubber² used in Pirelli’s European factories will be FSC®-certified.

Why it’s important

At Pirelli, we are committed to no deforestation and the responsible procurement of natural rubber.

FSC® is today one of the most rigorous and trusted forest certification systems, as well as one of the most recognised worldwide³.

What’s at stake

FSC® certification confirms that a natural rubber plantation is managed in a way that preserves biological diversity and benefits the lives of local communities and workers.
FSC® certification indicates::
Responsible forest management and conservation of biological diversity.
Respect of human and labour rights; fostering economic sustainability of local communities.
Traceability of forest-based materials chain of custody.
