CAR TIRE RECALL
There is presently a recall on the following tires:
P Zero All Season: 275/40ZR19 TL 101W (MGT)
Part No.: 2535200
DOT code: XBY2 U352
Date code range: 0216 to 4316
The tires were typically fitted as Original Equipment to certain Maserati cars. Due to a manufacturing issue, the tire may experience cracking in the lower sidewall as the tire reaches the end of its tread life. If the cracking remains undetected, it could ultimately lead to an air loss and potential loss of control of the car.
More information can be obtained by contacting the Pirelli dealer from which you purchased your tires, or from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website – www.safercar.gov
You can go to the section called “Quick Clicks”, choose "by Campaign ID Number", then choosing “Recalls” and fill in the number: 16T018.
Line: P Zero Trofeo
Size: 225/50ZR15 91Y
Part No.: 2578500
DOT code: XJBU U785
Date code range: missing
Due to a production error, these tires may not be marked with a date code, as required by Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 139, New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles. The absence of a date code could make it more difficult to identify these tires if, in the future, a safety-related performance issue is discovered. As a consequence, there is a risk that the tires would not be removed from service. This matter does not affect the performance and safety of the tire.
