Discover the new scorpion mx32 mid soft

A new version of the World Motocross championship tyre, specifically for medium-hard terrain

Home Road Motorcycles Tyres Discover the new scorpion mx32 mid soft

The new SCORPION MX32 MID SOFT is the successor to the most successful Pirelli competition tyre in the FIM Motocross World Championship. It's a racing product: it will début in the World Championship, equipping the bikes of some of the greatest champions, but like all Pirelli racing tyres, it will also be available for purchase by all fans of the discipline.

It's based on the previous version but is completely new, with specifications aimed at maximum performance: the front improves braking performance and makes corner entry easier; the rear offers even more traction at the start and exit of corners; the V-shaped tread block arrangement optimises braking stability and cornering grip. It is the most versatile tyre on medium-hard terrain.

A legendary history: 44 years of racing and 82 World Titles

The SCORPION MX32 MID SOFT's race-winning performance is backed by Pirelli's 82 World Titles in the FIM Motocross World Championship, the most prestigious motocross competition, held since 1957 under the patronage of the FIM, the International Motorcycling Federation.

Pirelli officially entered the competition in 1980, winning all classes of the Championship right from the start: 125, 250 and 500. This success continued over the years, with early riders like André Malherbe, Georges Jobé and Harry Everts.

Speaking of Harry Everts: "like father, like son" they say, but in this case, son Stefan surpassed his father, giving Pirelli an impressive 7 World Titles (compared to Harry's 2). Among the great champions, Antonio Cairoli could not be missing, with 6 titles with Pirelli. Among the riders of recent years, we must mention Jeffrey Herlings, Jorge Prado and Tim Gajser, all with 5 World Titles each, always with Pirelli.

Competitions as a testing ground

For Pirelli, the commitment to the highest levels of competition has always been the key point for the development of professional tyres, a rule confirmed for Motocross, a speciality to which the competition products of the SCORPION MX range are dedicated, where the MX32 is by far the most used in the FIM Motocross World Championship. For this reason, it is legendary among fans.

The surface of asphalt circuits may not always be the same, depending on the tracks, but the base is very similar. Motocross tracks, on the other hand, are never the same because the earth is a living, changing element that can be easily modified, especially since sometimes the tracks are built specifically for a competition. Moreover, rain can make the track treacherous, turning it into a muddy hell.

This is why the SCORPION range includes tyres with a structure that varies depending on the terrain and use, alongside the new MX32 MID SOFT:

• the MX SOFT, suitable for soft terrain such as mud or sand;

• the MX32 MID HARD, designed for medium and hard terrain;

• the MX EXTRA X, ideal for training and amateur competitions on varied terrain.

A common feature of all products in the SCORPION MX range is their effectiveness in all conditions of use, not only in racing but also in training or simply for fun; in any case, they guarantee reliable performance, even in extreme conditions. They are designed to ensure maximum grip on any surface and guarantee full power transmission to the ground.
