P ZERO TYRES TAILOR-MADE FOR THE NIO
Pirelli has developed special versions of its iconic tyre P Zero to meet NIO's specifications, and to enhance the vehicles' unique characteristics following the “Pirelli Perfect Fit” strategy. The NIO ET7 fits size 255/40R21 102V XL P Zero tyres, to enhance the luxury personality of the car while ensuring comfort for the driver. In addition, the NIO EC6 and NIO ES6 also be fitted with Pirelli P Zero (size 265/45R21 108Y XL) as original equipment. All Pirelli tires developed for NIO have a special marking on the shoulder: “i” and “Elect”. As a unique marking of NIO, the original equipment tyres are easy to recognize by the “i”-marking on the tyre wall. It not only identifies the tyres specifically developed by Pirelli for NIO, but also represents all variants were designed and tested by the engineers of Pirelli and those of NIO together to highlight the specific characteristic of the ET7. As the original equipment, P Zero have a specific compound, construction and tread pattern design. SEAL INSIDE TECHNOLOGY
These tailor-made tyres of NIO also available with innovative Seal Inside technology, which designed to meet specific safety and protection needs. Seal Inside technology allows the vehicle to keep running without losing air pressure even after the tyre has been punctured by an external object, covering almost 85% of the possible accidental causes of pressure loss. A special mousse inserted inside the tyre forms a rapid seal over any object that punctures the tread, stopping air from leaking out and maintaining pressure. When the object is extracted, the mousse seals the hole.
