The new Cinturato, a summer tyre dedicated to premium cars, from sedans to CUVs, specialized in original equipment and replacement, presents itself as the new benchmark for safety and efficiency. This is thanks to Pirelli's work in research and innovation as well as virtual design, in line with the company's ‘eco-safety' strategy.
In the new product, safety is enhanced by the braking performance: in dry conditions, external tests1 classified it number 1 among competitors, while on wet surfaces, its "Class A" rating on the European label across the entire launch range2 testifies to its capabilities. Efficiency is demonstrated by a 20% increase in mileage compared to the previous product and reduced rolling resistance, contributing to lower fuel consumption.

The secrets of the new Cinturato
The new product's leap forward is due first to the innovative compounds with Pirelli patented materials which enabled the new Cinturato to overcome the compromises that typically accompany tyre development reconciling opposing needs such as grip in braking, mileage durability and rolling resistance. This performance balance has been achieved mainly through the tread composition, which combines a new star-shaped polymer and a special resin mixture. A further contribution comes from the new generation silica: with its particular form, the SmartNet Silica manages to reconcile two other performances which are normally opposed: in curves it offers grip and stability, in the straight it reduces rolling resistance.

The Cinturato Family: for every season, with exclusive technologies
The new summer tyre will add to the Cinturato family, from the multi-award-winning Cinturato All Season SF3, the Cinturato Winter 2, indicated since the earliest tests by specialized magazines the best in the segment. The new summer tyre will also be available with exclusive Pirelli technologies, beginning with the Elect, the package dedicated to electric and hybrid plug-in vehicles.

Brief history of the Cinturato
The longest standing brand of the Pirelli range, the Cinturato was born in the 1950s for Formula 1 single-seaters and rally cars. It was the company's first radial tyre and owes its name to its structure with a radial carcass reinforced with bands of textile or metallic materials to increase resistance and stability. Over the years it has evolved to offer different variants for specific uses, maintaining safety and efficiency first. These qualities have made the Cinturato Pirelli's best-selling tyre worldwide and the choice of premium car manufacturers from all over the world - from Europe to the United States and Asia - equipping over 60 vehicle models, with 145 homologations in the past five years alone.
1 Report 24CPCEXT-225 - Comparative tests carried out in November 2024 by DEKRA with tyre size 225/50 R17. Pirelli achieved the best result in dry braking: Pirelli Cinturato™ (100%), Bridgestone Turanza 6 (93%), Continental PremiumContact 7 (96.6%), Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 (91.8%), Michelin Primacy 4+ (97.5%).
2 All sizes available as replacement will have “Classe A” valuation for wet grip on the European label from the moment of launch.
