Hand-crafted power with lightness. These are the unique features of the latest creation from the Swiss Picasso Automobili, the PS-01. For the first time, it was seen on track at the Red Bull Ring: the home of the Austrian Grand Prix, at the recent P Zero Experience. This is a series of dedicated track days like no others, hosted by Pirelli for some in the best cars on the world's most spectacular race tracks. The new Picasso's astonishing performance is also thanks to an eye-popping power to weight ratio, with 600 horsepower propelling a package that weighs just 900 kilograms.

A feather-light carbon fibre body

The new supercar from Picasso, based on an ultralight platform which also contains several carbon fibre components, from the bodywork to the internals. The result of this radical diet is a super skinny weight of just 900 kilograms. As a result, it goes as well as it looks.

Avant-garde design that knows no frontiers

The stunning look of the all-mew car is dominated by a carbon fibre rear wing, as well as twin exhausts and a prominent diffuser at the rear. On the roof, an air scoop feeds the central rear-mounted engine: an imposing twin-turbo V6 that was born in Italy. Aerodynamics were at the forefront of the styling, to maximise performance both on the road and on the track.

An international project

Although this car has a Swiss passport, it came into being with the help of several illustrious international partners, including Pirelli. Even though this is still just a prototype, the PS-01 already appears with tyres that are at the cutting edge of technology: bespoke Pirelli P Zero covers, derived from the Italian firm's extensive experience in international motorsport.

The definitive version of the Picasso PS-01 will make its debut in Pirelli's natural environment once more, during the P Zero Experience at the Yas Marina track in Abu Dhabi, at the start of next year. Prepare to be thrilled.
