Two tyre options, one with Cyber Track Adrenaline technology, for the Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 years

Home Road Cars Supercars Pirelli tyres and sensors on the fastest ever Audi RS 4

The first Audi RS 4 introduced in 1999 was fitted with tyres from the P Zero family. 25 years later, to celebrate the anniversary of the high-performance estate car, Audi Sport is launching a limited edition of 250 units, relying again on Pirelli for the original equipment and for the development of a special kit for use on the track. When you buy the new Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 years, in fact, you get a double set of tyres: P Zero Corsa as the original equipment and P Zero Trofeo RS with Cyber technology and  Track Adrenaline system, both in size 275/30R20.

P ZERO CORSA, THE MOTORSPORT-DERIVED TYRE

Designed more for day-to-day use of the car but also suitable for the circuit, the P Zero Corsa is a high-performance tyre that draws on the technologies developed by Pirelli for motorsport and is the ideal solution for driving the Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 years on the road, thanks to superior levels of traction, comfort and safety in wet conditions.

P ZERO TROFEO RS WITH PIRELLI CYBER TECHNOLOGY

The technical upgrade made to the car, which allows it to reach 300 km/h with a power of 470 HP and 600 Nm of torque, makes the RS 4 Avant edition 25 years a model designed to deliver a bundle of thrills on the track. To achieve maximum performance, Pirelli has developed  bespoke P Zero Trofeo RS semi-slick tyres distinguished by stability, resistance to stress, grip and consistent performance in track use. In addition, these special P Zero Trofeo RS for the Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 years are equipped with Pirelli Cyber sensors, which detect tyre conditions and transmit them to the driver via an App that can be downloaded onto their smartphone.

PIRELLI TRACK ADRENALINE, “THE VIRTUAL ASSISTANT” FOR DRIVING ON THE TRACK

The sensor-fitted P Zero Trofeo RS tyres, the App and a high-performance GPS module make up the Track Adrenaline system, which is a veritable “virtual assistant” in track sessions: with the digital gauge you can set the desired set-up before setting off; while driving, the information recorded by the sensors, the telemetry information collected by the control unit and the information from the GPS module are useful for measuring times and defining trajectories; at the end of the session, the data recorded on the App can be analysed. If you are joined by a passenger, you can also activate the “live view” function which, like the radio team in a Formula 1 race, gives immediate and concise messages to suggest, for instance, that the driver warms up the tyres or makes a pit stop.

AUDI SPORT AND PIRELLI

The tyres and Track Adrenaline kit for the Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 years mark a new stage in the partnership between Pirelli and Audi on the RS range. In addition to the first version of the RS 4 Avant, several other models are fitted with Pirelli tyres, including the RS 4 competition, on which Pirelli is the sole original equipment supplier, or the RS Q8 and the RS 3, which both set records at the Nürburgring in 2019 and 2021, respectively. Today, the Pirelli range for the Audi RS boasts a total of 36 type-approvals, including summer, winter and track specific tyres.
