The Elect™ technology for the Lotus Emeya, the new hyper-GT

Three Summer and one winter tyre options developed by Pirelli for the Lotus Emeya electric sedan

Home Road Cars Supercars The Elect™ technology for the Lotus Emeya, the new hyper-GT

A car that offers comfortable journeys but also knows how to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. Lotus made the Emeya without comprises, its first sedan with up to 905 horsepower boasts hypercar performance. To transfer all this power to the ground, Pirelli has developed four tyre models in collaboration with the engineers of the British company. The P Zero E, P Zero R and P Zero are the summer solutions, and the Winter Sottozero 3 the winter one. All with sizes of 265/40R21 at the front and 305/35R21 at the rear, with the P Zero also available in 255/45R20 and 285/40R20. And all are optimized, as indicated by the Elect™ marking, to enhance the qualities of the electric motor.

P ZERO E, TECHNOLOGY FOR SAFETY AND EFFICIENCY

Among the latest products introduced to Pirelli's UHP range, the P Zero E has been developed with technologies that make it ideal for modern electrified cars. The tyre's structure, tread pattern and dedicated materials deliver a high level of driving pleasure, safety and efficiency when at the wheel of the all-electric Lotus hyper-GT. Its performance is attested to by the triple A on the European label, which indicates excellent scores in rolling resistance, wet grip and noise.

P ZERO R, THE SPORTY OPTION

The P Zero R is the solution chosen by Lotus to unleash the sporty potential of the Emeya: designed to combine both effectiveness on track and efficiency on the road. This tyre offers control even on wet asphalt, thanks to the patented Resin Blend technology which provides a wide working range.

P ZERO WITH ANTI-PUNCTURE AND NCS SOLUTIONS

For daily use of the Lotus Emeya, Pirelli has developed several variants of the P Zero. The UHP tyre is available in both 20 and 21 inches, and with the possibility of two additional technologies: the Pirelli Noise Canceling System (PNCS), which reduces rolling noise inside the vehicle, and Pirelli Seal Inside, which allows you to keep driving after a puncture.

SNOW EQUIPMENT

To drive the Lotus Emeya in winter conditions there's the Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3, with a directional tread pattern and high density of 3D sipes for maximum grip and traction on snow.

PIRELLI'S CROSS-OVER SOLUTION FOR ELECTRIC CARS

On all Pirelli tyres designed for the Lotus Emeya you will find the Elect™ logo on the side: this marking indicates that the tread, construction, and compounds have been specifically developed for electric and plug-in hybrid cars, which have different needs from ICE vehicles. The technical solutions of Pirelli's Elect™ package make tyres quieter, for the benefit of EV acoustic comfort, more resistant to high loads and accelerations, and more efficient thanks to low rolling resistance.
