A genuine jewel! Refined and sophisticated. Absolutely Aston Martin. Two years after the Coupé version, the Gaydon carmaker launches Vantage Roadster: the open model with three-part, electric, roll back soft top, which is concealed by a flap behind the seats, where the arches are located to protect the heads of passengers in case the car flips over. The hood opens and closes in record time, in less than 7 seconds, far more rapidly than its direct rivals, even in the moving car (up to 50 km/h).
New front grille
Needless to say that the entire super compact structure makes room for a 200 litre luggage compartment, which comfortably accommodates a golf bag, as demanded by British tradition. The mechanism is light, thus limiting the additional weight of Vantage Roadster to 60 kg, compared to her hard-top sister. A new front grille has also made its début with the open version. It will also be available for the coupé. The large "mouth" exchanges its aerodynamic line for enhanced elegance. Moreover, Vantage Roadster flaunts the new 20" alloy wheel rims.
Record performance
The two-seater convertible features a specially lined chassis setup. The engine is, instead, the same: a 510hp V8 combined with ZF's 8-gear automatic transmission and breathtaking performance recording an acceleration from 0 to 100 in barely 3.7 seconds, and maximum speed of 306 km/h, which can be reached with closed hood. Like the Coupé, the new arrival features amazingly efficient adaptive suspensions (with dedicated calibration), DSC, dynamic Torque Vectoring and self-locking electronic differential. But Roadster's driving mode settings (Sport, Sport + and Track) are custom-adjusted. Deliveries commence in April, just in time for spring.
