5 things not to miss at the Sea Otter Classic 2019

Sea Otter Classic is probably the consumer's biggest bicycle event in North America. It's a 100% bike dedicated event and offers all what a real “cycling nerd” would love to see and do. More than 500 exhibitors representing something like 1000 different brands will show off the latest news in the Expo area, “test-before-you-buy” bikes and samples are offered to the attending fans, cool riding events are taking place and there's much more to see and do! Taking place April 11-14, at the Laguna Seca Recreation Area in Monterey, CA. (USA) the 28th annual Sea Otter Classic will be the official North American launch of Pirelli new Scorpion MTB tires too.

Here's a list of 5 things not to miss if you plan to be at the event.

1. Looking for a new bike or part? Here's THE place.
As said, this is the consumer's biggest bicycle event in North America. The top of the tech is displayed in the Sea Otter Classic Expo area. If you're planning to buy a new bike or some new piece of cycling apparel or new gears here's where you see the largest display of news and new products. You'll have the opportunity to test out a bike or get some special offers for the latest helmets or goggles, no matter if you are looking for a RR, Mtb, E-MTB, Gravel or kids-oriented product. And, there are plenty of freebies too; enough to fill your backpack.

2. Race!
If you like to race, take part in one of the many riding events organized by the Sea Otter Classic or be a spectator of the Pro's races. Whatever your discipline, there's an event for you: Road Racing races, Circuit races, Criteriums, XC, Short-tracks or DH, Dual Slalom and Enduro races, Cyclocross and even an E-Mtb race and the Brompton World Championship! Kids have various opportunities and they race for free.

3. Bring the Family
The Sea Otter Classic is a family event too. No need to leave your beloved at home while you follow your passions. There's much for them to do! Kids will love to race or learn how to set-up their little bikes or go Egg Hunting or visit the Carnival (bounce houses, slides etc). All activities are free for kids under 12 and if you are 21-and-up the beer and barbecue garden will do, plus there's an international food court too.

4. Be an autograph hunter
Hey, that's Gary Fisher… look, Tom Ritchey's here, hey that's Danny Macaskill… YES, the Gotha of Cycling attends the Sea Otter Classic event and there's a high chance for you to get the autographs of the biggest or most famous cycling stars. National and Olympic champions or VIPs: the cycling Hall of Fame can be spotted at the event or at the Expo area.

5. Check Pirelli's new Scorpion MTB and get your tires pressure checked
Visit Pirelli booth at the Expo and check the newest entry in the Pirelli bike tires line: Scorpion MTB that subverts all paradigms and shift the attention from the bike to the type of ground on which you bike. 4 different tires: H Hard Terrain, S Soft Terrain, M Mixed Terrain and R Rear Specific. A unique opportunity to meet Pirelli Velo Product and Marketing managers. To any attendee Pirelli will offer a free tire pressure check (whatever your tires!).

Sea Otter Classic admission is free all four days for children twelve and under and for registered athletes. For tickets detail check the Sea Otter Classic website that's updated with schedules, meetings and the event's daily activities.
