Around 6,000 car enthusiasts flocked to the famous castle courtyard during the two days. In keeping with the motto of the event Sport and Luxury, the Luxury Cars special show was held in the inner courtyard of the castle for the first time on both days of the event. There, the crème de la crème of luxury car manufacturers presented legends rich in tradition and current new cars. The Rolls-Royce Phantom, the Mercedes S-Class Coupé and the Lexus LS, among others, were on display. Historical models included the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, the Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham and the Jaguar XJ.
In addition, car enthusiasts were able to admire another 75 timelessly elegant classic cars and sports cars. Its owners took part in the 2nd Castle Bensberg Supersport Classics Rally and presented their mobile treasures - including a Mercedes 300 SL gullwing, a Porsche 365B 1600, a BMW M1, a Toyota 2000 GT and a Ford Mustang Bullitt - to an expert jury the following day.
