Yearly, many bicycle shows are taking place around the world. The calendar of international events list includes more than 26 different trade fairs, located in Europe, Asia and the United States. Only a few years ago, events of this type could be counted on the fingers of one hand: much easier for a cycling fan to choose the one to visit, discover the latest in cycling technology or to keep up-to-date on product news. Today, bicycle shows are fragmented around the world and almost every country has its own event. Here are the 4 we chose and why.
EUROBIKE SHOW - FRIEDRICHSHAFEN DE 4-7/9/2019
With 1400 exhibitors and over 37,000 trade visitors, the Eurobike Show is probably the most important bicycle fair in the world. It is held on the shores of Lake Constance, in southern Germany, and is dedicated to a predominantly BtB public; however, the last day (this year, September 7th) the show opens to the general consumer. The global bicycle industry meets here every year and it is where most of the world's biggest bike and accessory brands are presenting their new products for the next season. The show holds many events too: bike testing sessions, outdoor tracks, music concerts, fashion shows and a design award (Eurobike Design Award), which has become synonymous with cycling excellence.

ROC D'AZUR - FREJUS (F) - 9-13/10/2019
This fascinating event, which is held annually on the famous Côte d'Azur, is certainly the most important MTB event in the world. With its 300 exhibitors and almost 100,000 visitors, it is also a large show dedicated to off-road bikes: a true point of reference for those looking for the latest MTB product news. A five days celebration of The Mountain Bike with pro and amateur races, an event designed for cycling fans of all ages. Traditionally the "Roc", as it is called within the industry, is the end of season event that closes the long list of bicycle trade fairs. It is also an excellent location and time for a bike tour in the wonderful PACA region (Provence, Alpes-Maritimes, Côte d'Azur) and for a last swim in the warm Mediterranean Sea. TAIPEI INT'L CYCLE SHOW - TAIPEI (TW) - 4-7/3/2020
The most important fair in Asia is also a great point of reference for the world's cycling industry: the Taipei International Cycle Show is the meeting place for global cycling expertise. The fair is held every year within the gigantic Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei, on the island of Taiwan. It offers over 3300 booths, spread over 55,000 square meters of exhibition space. Designers, manufacturers, industrialists, well-known and lesser-known bicycle brands, are visiting or exhibiting at this show to understand the trends, ideas and future of the bike. By spying inside some of the booths, you could see some sneak previews, new products that will be presented to the public, officially, only months later. SEA OTTER CLASSIC – MONTEREY (CA) USA 16-19/4/2020
After the cancellation of the Interbike show, Sea Otter Classic has definitely jumped into the top positions, in the list of world bicycle fairs, likely becoming the most important North America bicycle show. The event, which is held every year on the Laguna Seca circuit, in Monterey, California, welcomes over 400 exhibitors and over 70,000 visitors. Organized like a big bike festival, it offers everything a true enthusiast expects to find: the newest products, the coolest bikes, races in all categories, and the cycling stars.
