On this week #1 - Keep fighting Michael!
On January 3rd, 1969, Germany, Michael Schumacher was born in Hürth. Seven-time Formula 1 World Champion, after debuting with Jordan in the 1991 Belgian Grand Prix, Michael raced for three teams: Benetton, Ferrari, and Mercedes. In his achievements, in addition to the world titles, are 91 victories, 68 pole positions, 77 fastest laps in races, and 155 podium finishes, earned in 308 Grand Prix races.
Tough, sometimes controversial, aggressive: Schumacher made history in Formula 1, but was also a divisive figure, partly because he struggled to win the favour of pundits, especially in the early part of his career. Those who had the fortune and honour of working with him loved him unconditionally, not only for his exceptional talent, but also for his innate leadership, determination, loyalty, team-building skills, and, above all, sensitivity.
"I have always believed that one should never give up and that one should always continue to fight even when there is only a minimal chance": these words perfectly sum up who Michael is, now fighting to win his most important race after the skiing accident he suffered on December 29th, 2013.
