Peter Lindbergh is the photographer that Pirelli has called upon for the creation of the new 2017 Pirelli Calendar. A portion of the images will be taken in New York. Lindbergh, at 72 years old, is considered one of the most celebrated and authoritative figures in the world of photography and has already collaborated with Pirelli on three occasions, always in the United States.
In 1996, on the beaches of California when he captured the essence of renown models to the likes of Eva Herzigova, Carré Otis and Nastassja Kinski. Then again in 2002 on the streets of Hollywood when he framed, among others, Kiera Chaplin, Brittany Murphy e Mena Suvari.
Most recently, together with Patrick Demarchelier, he participated in in the celebratory project for the 50th anniversary of The Cal™: creating the iconic image of the top models Alessandra Ambrosio, Helena Christensen, Isabeli Fontana, Miranda Kerr, Karolina Kurkova and Alek Wek.
The unmistakable eye of Lindbergh, represented by the prestigious Gagosian Gallery, has made it so that his images have been exhibited in the world's most renown and prestigious museums, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the MoMA in New York, Puskin in Moscow, the Centre George Pompidou in Paris and most recently in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid.
