Silao - The ‘Friendship Tournament' was well attended by the CEO of Pirelli Mexico, Enrico Verdino, the Manufacturing Director, Alessandro Merelli, and Jorge Martin Martinez, HSE Manager North America. The Mayor of the city, Melanie Murillo (dressed in Nerazzurri), the Councillor for Sport, a representative of COMUDE, a territorial body that manages sports activities; for Inter Campus, Christian Valerio, Project Manager and Juri Monzani, Technical Manager.
In a festive atmosphere, inside the ‘Parque Eucalipto' sports complex in Silao, built thanks to the contribution of Pirelli and Inter Campus in 2012, the year in which the factory was also inaugurated, about a hundred boys and girls gathered with about twenty coach-educators from the various Inter Campus units sponsored by Pirelli for the annual ‘Friendship Tournament'.
The eight participating teams, category 2012-13, each bearing the names of the positive values that distinguish the Inter Campus methodology, faced each other in an atmosphere of joy, mutual respect and inclusion.
In the words of Pirelli CEO Enrico Verdino: ‘These synergies between Inter Campus, Pirelli and thanks to the support of the local authorities, together with the families and the school, represent the most significant formative agencies in the educational path of the participating children and adolescents.'
