PIRELLI RUSSIA HELPS KIROV ORPHANS

On December 11th, Pirelli employees working in Moscow organised the sale of hand-made Christmas gifts and cards made by the children from the orphanages in Kirov.

During the same day the employees participated in Christmas toys decoration master-classes and seminars on how to help children in orphanages.

During that day 75 000 Rub were collected. Pirelli Tyre Russia CEO decided to double the amount to be donated, reaching the equivalent of almost 2000 Euros: “It’s important that everybody in Pirelli knows that the company respects and shares the values and employees’ wish to take part in charity projects, – notes the CEO. – Many thanks to everybody who visited the fair. You made this day special“.

All collected money will be destined to education program towards children in orphanages who will be able to receive remote training. The money collected by Pirelli will provide more than 300 lessons for the children.

Pirelli Barcellona: “Health and Pedals” project

Pirelli Neumàticos joined AMPANS in the “Salut i Pedals” project, aimed at the creation of a Bicycle Bank in Santpedor Garden in Barcelona.
Pirelli contributed to the project donating ten bicycles and helmets. The equipment will be available free of charge not only to all AMPANS members but also to all citizens: all those using the service can also make donations for maintenance and further development of the initiative, including the extension of the bicycle fleet for people with reduced mobility.
This project is joins the many initiatives related to well-being and local community Pirelli is glad to support.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY IN TÜRK PIRELLI TYRES COMPANY

On 3^rd December, International Day of People with Disability, Türk Pirelli Tyres Company has hosted disabled students of Köseköy Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center.

Executives including Industrial Director Hakan Yalnız and Quality Director Bahadır Özer engaged in the activity, talked with the students and gave them presents which made the disabled children very happy.

Children had their dinner in the canteen, sang and played different songs and were very happy when cutting the cake prepared for them.

Industrial Director Hakan Yalnız also made a brief speech about the importance of the day and delivered his thanks both to teachers and representatives of Rehabilitation Center.
