Pirelli wins the Casco d’Oro
In the refined setting of the Hotel Monte del Re near Dozza Imolese, Bologna, Italy’s Autosprint motor sport magazine’s held its 46th consecutive Caschi d’Oro (Gold Helmets) awards presentation. Hosted by Veronique Blasi, who was aided by Jimmy Ghione, of the satirical TV news programme “Striscia la Notizia”, the traditional event and prize-giving saw the people who count in motor racing in the limelight once more, including Sebastian Vettel and Francesco Castellacci, as well as Alessandro Zanardi, who won Cascho d’Oro Grinta for his hand-bike successes. Pirelli received the Casco d’Oro Speciale, the prestigious award made by Autosprint each year “for its technological commitment to Formula 1”.
